Fly Into Ponce Inlet Marine Science Center

Hello aviators!! You can find the Marine Science Center just south of Daytona Beach in Ponce Inlet. The Marine Science Center offers a wide variety of programs for children and adults throughout the year.

Visitors can observe turtle and seabird rehabilitation in action, if you are lucky you may be able to catch a turtle or bird being released. There are also many fascinating marine exhibits and interactive displays. A great addition has been the Stingray touch pool featuring cownose stingrays, a shark and hermit crabs that you can actually reach in and touch. We had a wonderful time exploring all of the creatures here. You can also participate in a classroom lab, walk through beautiful nature trails, climb an observation tower for a spectacular view, and visit a unique gift shop. I love the gift shop as we always find something educational to buy.

Fly Into Key Largo and The Florida Keys Spearfishing Company

Hello Aviators today’s day trip takes us back to the Florida keys in the beautiful Key Largo. Florida Keys Spearfishing Company is located in Key Largo and Islamorada Florida (Florida Keys).  They offer full service spearfishing charters and spearfishing training.  They are the only  shop that offers a PADI endorsed spearfishing specialty class.  Their captains and guides are seasoned spear-o’s and love what they do.

Not sure how to clean fish or don’t have fillet knives with you?  No problem.  Included in your spearfishing charter is the filleting of your catch.  Just take it to any local restaurant and have them prepare it for you.  It doesn’t get fresher than that!

If you’ve always wanted to try the sport of spearfishing or even if you’re a seasoned spear-o, come join us for truly awesome spearfishing experience.

Owner operator Eric Billips

Known as the “Spearfishing Guy” in Upper Keys, Eric is a PADI Master Instructor, US Coast Guard Captain, Spearfishing TV host and Author.  Wanting to offer a conservative minded approach to teaching spearfishing, he wrote the PADI specialty “Underwater Hunter”  and “The Spear-fisherman’s Guide to the Upper Keys”.  He is an advocate of safe, ethical spearfishing practices and preaches this throughout his course.

Eric is also a soldier in the fight for protecting sharks, coral reefs and all endangered ocean resources.  The combination of his spearfishing knowledge and conservation advocacy makes his charters not only exciting but enlightening.
