Imagine the convenience of being able to fly your plane any time you want simply by walking out your front door. Well that dream is achievable at Ridge Landing Airpark in Florida.
Flying into SUN ‘n FUN is always a great time! We go every year and it’s our favorite Fly in Expo, mainly because it’s conveniently close to our Florida Airpark.
The Ridge Landing Airpark booth at the 2015 Sun-N-Fun is A-021.
From Ridge Landing (4FL5), to Lakeland Linder Regional Airport (KLAL) we are only 26 Nautical Miles from SUN ‘ n FUN!
Lakeland Airport’s Control Tower will operate 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM. However, the SUN ’n FUN side (south) is closed to aircraft movements after 7:30 PM EDT. The field is also closed during the daily airshow (3:00 PM-6:00 PM). Check Graphic NOTAMS and AIM for air traffic information and procedures. Tune to ATIS frequency 118.025 upon arrival for update.

As our aviation community continues to grow we are ecstatic to share footage taken with a drone and GoPro.
We could name 101 reasons why you should invest in a residential airpark community. From the amazing aviation destinations Florida has to offer to unrestricted access to the 3000′ x 60′ Paved runway but you can just come see for yourself.
One of our very own airpark residents had quite the adventure for his birthday. Florida has some of the most amazing aviation destinations and Michael McMahan had the experience of a lifetime in Kissimmee at Stallion 51 flying the Mustang P-51 aka “Crazy Horse”.
Mike posted on his Facebook thanking his brother Bobby for a fantastic birthday gift.
“I flew a 1944 P51 Mustang for an hour over central Florida. Loops, barrell rolls, wing overs and more! Thank you to my brother Bobby”
We asked our fellow aviators that are subscribed to the Airpark Life newsletter what their favorite aviation joke or one liner was.
We heard some real doozies and decided to compile a list of some of the best ones from throughout the years, if you like the jokes feel free to share and if we missed your favorite let us know and bring the conversation to Google + or Twitter.
Flight attendant asks if the Captain wants a cup of coffee. He answers sure, just like I like my women. Flight attendant answers “Hell, they don’t make coffee hot and stupid.”
